Flamboyance in Florence

These shots come from Tommy Ton's pictures from this year's Pitti Uomo in Florence, Italy. I can't take credit for the "Flamboyance in Florence" title of this post as I kind of borrowed it from the heading for the GQ website. There were almost 90 pictures in the mix, and it was really, really difficult to go through all of them and pick my favorites.... which is why I'll be posting a Part 2 in a little while. But seriously, how good are these? I don't know how there are this many impeccably dressed men in the world. And if they're all in one place, I think I need to book a trip to Pitti next season.

Menswear Eurostyle (Part Deux)

Here is the follow-up to the post from the last Menswear Weekends. (See here for a refresher). While Nick was in Europe in May, he awkwardly stalked well-dressed European men (and a few women) for me so I could get some pictures of some really stylish people. I'm not sure exactly where all of these pictures were taken, but they're either from the London or Frankfurt areas. Unfortunately he only had his iPhone for most of these, but most of them turned out pretty well.

Mint and Maxi

There's something about a long skirt in the summer that makes everything feel okay. It's light and it's fun, you're fully covered, and don't have to worry about flashing anyone (probably). I need to get a bunch more of these babies. It's hardly noticable in these pictures, but the tank top I'm wearing is a perfect mint green. I'm noticing that I'm now obsessed with mint in an unhealthy way. I'm a little late to the game with this realization, but better late than never. Actually, I'm quite taken with all pastels right now. Brights just don't do it for me. H&M has a collection of heathered, sunwashed tanks and tees in a variety of pastel colors, this tank top among them, and I think I need to go back there and get the whole lot.

Menswear Eurostyle

The men of Europe. How is it even fair that European women get to look at them every day. These are from Nick's Eurotrip he took at the beginning of the summer, where he spent time in Sussex, London and Frankfurt. Because he's wonderful, he creepily took iPhone pictures of every well-dressed guy he saw and sent them over to me. And this is only the first post of this kind. There will be more, because he went crazy stalking guys with rolled pants and nice shoes. We'll call it Nick's Eurostyle photo diary.
