How refreshing is it after a long winter and spring when we can finally wear linen and sandals? Aside from that yearly ritual of summer style cleansing, the best thing about summer is how we are allowed to dress. In any other climate, wearing little to nothing is strongly discouraged and completely unacceptable, but the minute the summer thermometer hits 80, we throw caution to wind and dress as lightly and freely as possible. I particularly love the way men dress in the summer. If the well-dressed man's summer wardrobe isn't 75% linen, they probably haven't discovered that fabric yet. Filled with lightweight button downs and colorful shorts, the man's summer style is so simple and usually colorful. My favorite? How rolling and cuffing their jeans and khakis makes them instantly beach cool.
