Prabal Gurung: purple, purple, teal, purple, more teal, and then more purple. Electric violet was a huge trend on the Prabal runway, and this show really kicked the week off well. Sporty cutouts and silk everything were prominent on the catwalk. Those watercolor silk trousers - ooh la la. And the evening gowns to close out the show... Swoon.

Alexander Wang: my fashion favorite for ever... and his show! Incredible. The show was inspired by all things speed. Motocross, NASCAR, raceways... Mesh, leather, see through tunics. And again, the emergence of purple, teal and whimsy. The angles alone were stunning, but the attention to detail and the mixture of new trends and of the hard and soft was remarkable. And he is just the best to listen to in interviews. So so so much talent in this one. He will be a favorite of mine for a long time.

Thakoon: Cowboy hats and oriental patterns. Everywhere. As you can clearly tell from the photos I chose, I loved the full skirts. And the hair that was dyed to perfectly accent each look? Perfection. The prints were classically Far Eastern, with an amazing tribal edge. Just as wild as Alex Wang or Prabal, but completely and totally different. Oh, and awesome.
